January Tea Selections + Chocolate!

We’re starting things off right at dose this year with a some fabulous new tea selections and a great new chocolate from artisan chocolatier Ritual Chocolate.

For our January Tea Selections, we have two teas from a new source, SerendipiTea:

  • Guatemala “Chirrepeco” – Black Tea
First off, it’s a tea from Guatemala, which is pretty cool considering how many great coffees we’ve had from there. Second, it’s really good. Smooth and medium bodied with some nice sweetness, this is a black tea worth enjoying sans cream and sugar.
  • Darjeeling “Makaibari Estate” – White Tea
An incredible offering from the Darjeeling region of India, typically known for its black teas. This organically grown tea is beautifullyprepared and steeps up a sweetly fragrant cup with subtle fruit notes.

This 75% dark chocolate bar is nothin’ but cocoa beans and cane sugar and Ritual’s taste descriptors are right on: “High notes of blackberry, earthy undertones and a long, floral finish.”
Ritual also just received mention in the Jan/Feb issue of Imbibe Magazine, which also happens to be available at dose :)

Happy New Year!
